DemandAT brings together a multi-disciplinary team of researchers with expertise across fields including migration, labour and regulatory studies. The project’s nine partner institutions span Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. They bring together a wealth of expertise to examine demand for human trafficking and the efficacy of measures that aim to influence that demand.

The International Centre for Migration Policy Development is an international organisation whose purpose is to promote innovative, comprehensive and sustainable migration policies and to function as a service exchange mechanism for organisations and governments. The organisation has established a reputation for its research on international migration trends and patterns, as well as policies in the wider European context based on comparative analysis.

University of Bremen

The Arbeitsbereich Interkulturelle Bildung (Unit for Intercultural Education) at the University of Bremen is a multidisciplinary team involved in a broad range of research and teaching relevant for intercultural education and cohesion in a society experiencing immigration. The the University of Bremen belongs to the top league universities in Germany, and was awarded the title and benefits of a ‘University of excellence’ in June 2012.


La Strada International

The International La Strada Association is a leading European NGO-network working to ensure a world without trafficking in human beings by promoting respect for human rights. The network comprises eight independent member organisations that operate from a grass-roots level and implement activities for advocacy, prevention and social support for trafficked persons and at-risk groups in order to empower them to exercise their rights.

La Strada Czech Republic

La Strada Czech Republic (LSCz) is a non-governmental organization which aims to contribute towards the elimination of all forms of exploitation and trafficking in human beings. To achieve these results, LSCz wants to make the issue of THB visible by influencing authorities, media and public opinion to address this violation of human rights and by informing the public about possible dangers of trafficking and commercial exploitation.
