Journal Special Issue on Domestic Work

June 2017

DemandAT research on trafficking in the domestic work sector is the subject of a Special Issue of the Journal of Immigration and Refugee Studies "Human Trafficking in Domestic Work in the EU: A Special Case or a Learning Ground for the Anti-Trafficking Field" edited by Alexandra Ricard-Guay and Thanos Maroukis. The contributions examine cases of severe exploitation in domestic work in Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands and Great Britain. They ask what conditions make people prone to exploitation and why these situations are not identified and prevented.
